What an honor it was to photograph Max & Erin's beautiful wedding! They tied the knot at McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge which is situated on the banks of the Columbia River next to the marina at the port of Kalama in Washington.
It was one of the most beautiful sunny days we've had this January. We were so happy to be able to go outside and enjoy the day. After getting ready, the celebrations started with Max and Erin's emotional and joyful first look, followed by portraits on the riverfront. There was of course no denying the chilly winter air, but for Max and Erin's best friends and close family members, it was nothing at all.
The harbor was bustling with activity, loaded container ships and boats passing by on the river, couples enjoying a meal on the patio of the restaurant, families out for a weekend stroll, and others walking their dogs (which made Erin especially happy to pause during portraits and give those doggies some love).
The couple had a sweet and intimate indoor ceremony on the second floor of the Lodge. They walked down a candlelit isle to the music of live guitar. Max and Erin spoke their vows to each other while exchanging rings, a symbol of eternal love and commitment.
After a delicious meal provided by McMenamins restaurant, we got a glimpse of just how appreciated these two are by their close friends and family. So many of them shared beautiful, emotional, entertaining and funny speeches. I'm sure everyone went away that night with happy, full hearts!
Congratulations Max and Erin, we hope that together you enjoy a lifetime of happy and full hearts!
