Chris & Stephanie's Fall Family Session

Bryan and I are very excited to introduce Chris and Stephanie on our blog today! This couple has a truly special story so I will just let Stephanie tell you in her own words.

"We met in 2005 when we were just teenagers. We met through mutual friends. We dated long distance from Portland, OR to Sutter, CA for several months when I turned 18, but we hated the long distance so Chris moved to California in March 2009. We got engaged in Fort Bragg, CA on the beach. Chris was so nervous to propose that the sun had completely set when he finally asked. We got married in November 2009 and we moved to the Seattle area for 2.5 years. We had lots of adventures in Washington State and Canada while living there. After that time there, we were homesick so we moved back to Gresham, OR and my immediate family moved from California to be close to us. We have been here since 2012.

Chris and I travelled a lot. We have been to England, Mexico, Canada, and Hawaii. We spent lots of time with friends and our dogs. I went back to school for a couple years. I pioneered during the pandemic. We stayed very busy but after 10+ years of marriage, we decided we wanted to have a baby.

We were trying to have a baby for 2 years after we lost our first pregnancy. I had a couple medical tests and procedures and it looked like none of it was working. We had finally given up and then I didn't feel well one day. I took two tests, a COVID test and a pregnancy test and they both came up positive on my 31st birthday. 😂

Caleb was the most wanted baby in the world. He was born in October 2022 and he is the best thing to ever happen to us. He loves being outside to play, he loves our cat Lucy and our dogs Penny and Lincoln. He is so smart, affectionate and funny. He can be stone faced with strangers but once he gets to know you his smile really comes out. He walked at 11 months and now he's already running. He is climbing and getting into all kinds of mischief 24/7. His favorite foods are pizza, tomatoes and eggs.

We like to camp, play with our dogs, go in service, go to Wallowa Lake every year, and spend time with family. We went through a lot the past 3.5 years to get to today but we finally feel whole with Caleb here. It's like the 13 years before him are a blur and this past year has been our greatest adventure yet."
