Today we are introducing Dulce to the blog! Dulce is a senior in the 2024 graduating class at La Center High School.
You may have noticed that Dulce has chosen to honor her Mexican heritage with her Senior pictures! This is something that is very much a part of her. Dulce was raised in a bilingual family. Her parents both originally from Oaxaca grew up speaking their native language Mixteco at home and also Spanish, the official language of Mexico. Her parents later emigrated to the U.S. where Dulce was born and this trilingual beauty is thriving!
We have known Dulce for many years and can say with certainty that she is one of the sweetest persons we know. Dulce is very content and usually smiling and loves to laugh! She has curious mind and loves to learn and read. Her favorite subject is History because she likes to learn about the past and how the world has changed over the course of time. Another of Dulces interests are animals, she would love the opportunity to volunteer at an animal shelter some day.
A perfect day for Dulce would be to enjoy nature with friends and family. On a rainy day she loves to read a good book and eat tamales. Tamales would make any day a perfect day - she just really loves tamales!
Dulce is most excited to start Cascadia Tech this year, she can't wait to begin the teaching program because she really enjoys working with little kids. Dulce would love to pursue a career in teaching where she can spend time with younger ones - to have a small impact in their lives, to be a part of their younger years, to encourage them to reach their goals, and to know that someone really cared about them is what Dulce would like to be known for.
One of Dulce's favorite quotes is:
"There is freedom waiting for you, on the breezes of the sky,
and you ask, "What if I fall?"
Oh, but my darling, What if you fly? "
