What a gorgeous Winter day we had for Daniel & Sarai's wedding! It was sunny but cold and the lighting at Molalla River State Park was devine! It was just before sunset. Daniel and Sarai took a moment to share a first look together before we took the family and bridal party portraits. Afterwards we headed to the Kingdom Hall in Canby for their ceremony. It was a full house! Friends and family from all over the area were so happy so be there to celebrate love and new beginning. The ceremony was followed by some refreshments including sweets, cake, coffee, and champurrado! YUM!!

We absolutely loved getting to know Daniel & Sarai, they are authentic and genuine and have a great sense of humor - especially with each other. Their day was everything that they had hoped for, a relaxed and happy occasion shared with family and friends. There were smiles at every moment, from Sarai walking down the isle with both of her parents at her side until the kiss at the end of the ceremony! 

Do you know what has me smiling? Their love story - it's so sweet and heartfelt and I just have to share it:

"We've been crossing paths since we were teens (his grandparents took my parents to their first meeting) but we each took different paths in our 20's and didn't see each other for a VERY long time but we were blessed to meet again at the 2023 regional convention and again in the fall at a circuit assembly where we had an awkward brief conversation.  I added him on Instagram, he messaged me first (he'll probably say it's the other way around).  We just clicked, since I knew him a bit, the friendship just happened naturally.  Eventually we were texting each other every day, all day and Daniel invited me for coffee. At that point we knew we were ready to take the next step and Daniel secretly went to talk to my parents when I was away on vacation so he could surprise me when I got back.  So the day that I flew back home Daniel called and asked about my trip etc. etc. and then he asks "where are you?" and I was like "at baggage claim" and he says "so am I but I don't see you". I thought he was just teasing me but then he video called me and sure enough, he was there at PDX waiting for me, I was so excited and couldn't wait to get through security to see him. He greeted me with flowers and a polaroid camera so we could capture our moments together from that day forward as a couple."

Daniel says - "Originally I wasn't looking for anything so we just started talking. We have similar humor but at the same time it is very different. We started talking all day every day and I started to realize that my days sort of felt empty unless I spoke to Sarai. Eventually we gave it a chance and started dating. At that moment in time it became clear to me how much I loved Sarai and how much she loved me back. I've never been taken care of so well by anyone. I found someone I truly wanted to spend all of my time with."  

"I told Sarai that my brother in law wanted to take my sister to a really cool place that she had never been to and he invited us and another couple we are friends with. We took off mid afternoon together to go to the spot. Unfortunately the fires at the time put the visibility of the location in jeopardy as well as our safety. We changed the location last minute as we were driving. We ended up at little crater lake about an hour before the sunset. The 6 of us were admiring the beauty and when Sarai wasn't paying attention I dropped to one knee, and asked her to spend the rest of her life with me. She said yes (obviously.)"
