Welcome to Edely and Batseba's love story!
"We met for the first time when I was 15 and he was 13. Many years later we crossed paths again. During the summer of 2022, when I (Batseba) went for a brief visit to CA, I went to meeting that Sunday and I was walking through the door when…”I saw her helping an elderly person find his seat. That gesture and her kindness caught my attention (Edely).” A mutual friend introduced us but it was brief. And every visit after that, I heard non stop about his willing and self sacrificing spirit. Those comments created in me some curiosity to get to know him. A few years later, on a weekend in the summer of 2024 before he asked me to be his girlfriend, he taught me how to play chess and let me tell you “that moment was magical”. It happened just like the movies, we felt like time had stopped and we were the only ones in the room. We got lost in each others eyes. I fell in love with his kindness and self sacrificing spirit. I fell in love with her because of her love for Jehovah and her kind heart."
"We got engaged at Seabrook, WA with the most beautiful sunset at a kiosk that overlooked the beach and sunset. There was a red carpet leading to the kiosk and red petals on the carpet. There were beautiful arrangements of red roses and romantic lights. We were walking down the path with his parents, my parents and my sister and brother in law. When we got to the kiosk, Edely walked me inside and I couldn’t believe what was going on. We both started crying, and he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him. And of course, I said “Yesss”. To my surprise, my family, aunts, uncles and cousins came out from their hiding spot and congratulated us. It was everything I ever wanted!"
Fast forward to last month and Bryan and I had the pleasure of spending their wedding day with them. We are so excited to be sharing our captures with you all! There are some really special moments for Edely and Batseba pictured here; Batseba wore her grandmothers necklace and earrings, which was special because she passed away just a couple weeks before the wedding. For Batseba, them moment her mother, father and sister saw her in her wedding dress was quite emotional, and for Edely spending the morning with his family getting ready for the wedding, as well as their vow exchange during the ceremony are moments he'll keep close.
Enjoy a glimpse into this beautiful wedding day.
