It's crazy to think that in just a couple weeks our PNW Summer will come to an end, as a new school year begins.  I can already feel a cooler breeze on some evenings and I'm not sure if I imagine it or not but it's accompanied with a smell of fresh crisp air that takes me straight to fall.  Personally, I'm a little horrified because it feels like Summer just started!  

Other than Fall shortly on its way, there are many others who are excited for the beginning of a new school year... the graduating Class of 2019!!

 We honestly can't be happier for Gisselle who is very excited to be a Senior this year!  We celebrated this fact during her Senior photo session at Crystal springs rhododendron garden in Portland.  We had some furry little visitors on our journey through the park, they came right up to us, no doubt hopping we had bread crumbs to share with them!  

Gisselle brought something to include in her pictures and I thought it was fitting.  A part of her childhood that she will always remember and no doubt cherish: her ice skates.  Although she doesn't practice it as a sport anymore, ice skating taught her self discipline and allowed her to do something she loved.  I'm sure each time she puts on those skates now, it's like welcoming a friend to visit for a while.  

If I had a piece of advice Gisselle, I'd tell you not to give up on those friends, let them visit often.  There are quite a few childhood and young adulthood hobbies that are apart of me and every time I take one up for fun, even though it may be few and far between, it makes me smile.  Photography was one of those hobbies, but one that I just couldn't put down!

We are curious to see what direction you will take your life in, not just this year, but afterwards.. and in the years to follow!
