Meet Baxten & Shayna- High School sweethearts, outdoor enthusiasts, parents, & best friends forever.

Baxten & Shayna met in High school and became instant friends. By Junior year, they both knew that they were each other's forever.

Shayna tells me "I don’t think we could ever get sick of each other. I went off to hike the Pacific Crest Trail after I graduated college in 2022, and within 3 days Baxten had quit his job and made plans to join me. We spent 3 amazing months out on the trail camping and hiking together with no distractions between us. That experience made us both so confident in our relationship and how we manage together while dealing with stress and hunger and pain. We have enjoyed every moment we spend with each other".

This has been a special year for Baxten and Shayna- it's the year they got to plan their wedding! For this special event they chose a vintage garden theme. An intimate, romantic and whimsical vibe. They invited their closest friends and family to be present for the Christian ceremony officiated by Baxten's dad. It was so special to have him marry them! The ceremony focused on Baxten and Shaynas beautifully written vows which sounded like a poetic conversation between each other. It really was very sweet! - not to mention a little addition to the vows - their daughter who spontaneously joined them at the altar!

Shayna's dad walking her down the aisle was definitely a cherished and special moment. Shayna says "He practiced to be able to do that for months. After his stroke, we had hoped that he would walk again but there were times it seemed unlikely. The hill and the grass presented a new challenge for him that he really had to work for. I'm so grateful that he was able to be there for us". There was hardly a dry eye to be found during that walk - during the father daughter dance and even during Shaynas parents speech when he surprised us by attempting to say a few words himself!

We really are so excited to share all the highlights from this beautiful wedding with you all! Being at Vineyard View Celebrations again in Scotts Mills Oregon was wonderfull as usual. The look of the venue reminded Baxten & Shayna of a vineyard estate that they stayed at on a trip to Italy when they were in high school. It was lovely for them to have a venue that reminiscent of past adventures and aspirations.
It perfectly matched the vibes that Shayna and Baxten wanted for their day!
